Today was a busy day and I am now getting to writing the blog.  Nice weather and errands to run.

Cold is what I felt when I went outside to drop my sister to the train station.  I had to go into NYC today so out came the coat and the layers of clothing too.  On my way home I was too warm and had to start shedding layers.  I had to meet a friend I had not seen in months so it was nice to connect and catchup.  I didn't have much time to check in to see what was happening with the market but it closed up today.  Tomorrow all the little task at home that did not get done will have to be done.  I also have to plan my cooking menus too.  I missed the XFactor last night and the Yankees game is on too.  I guess we will be watching the game.

Today was nice and warm and I made the mistake of thinking that the nice weather would continue in the late evening but it didn't.  I had an event in NYC so I dress casually and did not take a coat.  Upon arrival there, I bought a  pashmina to cover up.  Yesterday Chaz survived Dancing with the Stars and I am happy for him.  Now I want to see Cher show up there and give her support.  My day was spent doing little tasks here and there.  I actually went to the supermarket twice because once was not enough to get the things I needed.  Not quite true.  I forgot a few things on the first trip so I had to make the second one.  I cooked lasagna for dinner and just ate it and it tasted great; better than I thought.  I have to hold the salt when I cook because my mother can't have salt so I am now a little unsure as to how my meals will taste.  On my way home I got an e-mail saying that Steve Jobs died.  I was touched because I felt he made a significant contribution to technology and to our lives as well.

Today looks like a dreary day and overcast right now.  I spent the morning responding to e-mails and now I am getting around to starting this posting.  Joe Brown is playing in the backgroud and the rest of the court shows are in the line up.  The market is currently down 156 points and may continue to slide or bounce back; who knows!  I just put a whole chicken out to defrost cause I am making baked chicken for dinner and probably mash potatoes and boiled carrots.  I watched a bit of Dancing with the Stars last night but not carefully enough to choose a winner.  I know Chaz is having a hard time but I was hoping that he would do better.  Today had two news breaking events. One was a pitbull on the loose in Merrick on Long Island and the other was the helicopter crash in the East River.  I was sorry to hear that one person died.  The market eventually closed up at 153 which is good.  The results are not on as yet for Dancing with the Stars so I will report tomorrow who won.

Last night I stayed up to catch up on e-mails and today I had to early as usual to take my sister to the train station.  I had other errands as well to get done and headed in Queens and got caught in the traffic on the Grand Central Parkway.  Luckily I was able to wiggle my way out of it.  I came home and made dinner and just finish eating it.  I took a trip over to the library and found a couple of books to read and hopefully some of them will give me tips for my project that I have been working on.  After I am done with this blog I have to go read the newspapers and I am watching Dancing with the Stars as I write this.  The market closed down big time today.  I didn't have the time to keep tract of what was happening but I managed to catch the last half hour.  Rumor has it American Airlines may be filing for bankruptcy protection.  Let's see how this plays out.  Now I have a project that I want to finish before I call it quits for the night.

As it is weekend, naturally I want to do my favorite thing and sleep in but not this morning. I had to get up at the crack of dawn to take my sister to the airport.  Well, guess what?  I came back home and went to sleep until noon so I guess this counts as sleeping in.  I had a few things to get done today including laundry and did OK with the errands.  Tomorrow I will do some hand washing cause I just can't put certain clothes in the washer even though there is a handwash cycle.  There was nothing exciting to watch on TV tonight and I fell asleep on the sofa trying to watch a documentary.   I actually watched Nova which was about the earthquake in Japan earlier this year and it was amazing. Right now I watching the news as I write this blog so hopefully after the news there might be something interesting to watch.  Last year I was excited about getting a Flip camera and never found the time to buy it so today I decided I will make the time and buy it on-line.  A little voice in my head says check the reviews and lo and behold, the Flip camera is being discontinued.  Yes I was disappointed but now it is just about $100 as oppose $300 when I wanted to get it.  Maybe I will go ahead and get it for the $100 and hopefully I will get my money's worth if I make a few videos and post them on You Tube.

Yeah! Today is Saturday and I can sleep in late well so I thought.  I did not get up at the crack of dawn but I got up early enough to go outside and clear up the lawn.  Yes, fall is here is and so is everything from the trees.  What a task trying to clear away acorns.  I had some errands to run and I went to the mall and found a few bargains.  I spent the afternoon watching a CD of songs and they were good; kinda like going down memory lane.  Tomorrow I have a project to work on and I want to get it done so no staying up late tonight to watch everything on TV.  Right now it is a little cold so it's time to go put on those pants and extra layers of clothes.  I am not ready for heat in house even though we had to put the heat on a few weeks ago.
