Diantie's 365 days to ...

Well I took the umbrella with me but I really wanted to leave it at home. Guess what? It was raining cats and dogs in the early afternoon. Thank goodness I was indoors and I missed it. When I was headed to the train it was still drizzling, so I was happy I had that umbrella. I stuffed myself and now have to wait for a while before I attempt to eat anything else. I was treated to a cupcake and I truly expected it to taste great but it didn't. I was disappointed as I can make better cupcakes. Now I am on a mission to start trying the cupcakes in stores as I pass them. DC Cupcakes is coming to NYC and we can't let it dominate the market. Did I mentioned that the sun came out when I was walking home? It did! Amazing how quickly the weather changed. I am now reading two books and doing well too. Time to eat the dinner.

A little drizzle as I walked to the train station today. Right now it is nice. I went downtown to meet someone and now in Chelsea catching up on the "to do" list. I have a few e-mails to send and a few projects to work on. I actually ran into a fellow classmate which is always nice. I was walking on Sixth Avenue and just realized that I have not been seeing the Empire State Building as my view. I saw it today though and notice something I never did before. Another view. Last night I did watch the Next Food Network Star and I picked the winner of the challenge and also who would be eliminated. My sister was how did you know? Instincts at work. At my age you better have good instincts if you want to be a successful entrepreneur. Did I mentioned that I did not want to get up this morning/ I really wanted to sleep in but could not.

Well the weather is so much better but a little on the overcast side. I did not do the walk because I had errands to take care of. The kids came over and I spend some time with them running around on the deck. Right now I am a little tired so it is time to get myself together and pack up my things for tomorrow. I want to watch the Food Network Star tonight. I don't have a favorite person as yet but I am sure I will find one. I got a little reading done and I will try to read a few more page tonight. Yes, I managed to do a bit of laundry too. This is always an accomplishment.

Overcast and slight drops of rain is how it was today here on Long Island. I still managed to get up and out and get the errands done. I did not want to risk going out to walk so I stayed in. I somehow have to find the time get my walking done. I read a few more pages of my book and found a few more at the library. My sister has a movie that she wants us to watch tonight don't know what it is but I sure I may fall asleep at some point. I watched the Belmont Stakes and it was good. Good for the winner. I have never been to a race but maybe one day I will get there.

Yes, it is yet another hot day here in NYC. I had these plans of walking around in NYC but decided against it as it was too hot to be outside. Well I did manage to walk a few blocks over to get a snack this afternoon. I finished reading one of my books and bought two more today. Tonight I will continue with the other three books and tomorrow I have to pick up one written by a friend. Later this evening I will water the lawn again. Yes, I need to keep watering the lawn until it is back to that nice green color. Last night was steaming hot and since I do not like the air condition, I put the fan on and slept on the sofa. I did catch a few minutes of the basketball game last night. Maybe I will watch again it on Sunday but that depends on whether or not the timing is right. The weather should be better tomorrow so I hope to get up and out and take that two mile walk that I did not do last week.

Hot and hot and more hot. That is what the weather was like for most of today. I got stuck in traffic and it was not pleasant. Lessons learnt, check for road construction before leaving home! I had a few hours today to enjoy a cup of iced tea and continue reading my book. Learn something new everyday and I sure did. As it was too hot to do anything else when I got home, it was turn on the AC and take a nap. I woke up before I needed to do so now I feel I got cheated out of an extra hour of sleep. Oh well, I will make up for that tonight. The rain, yes how can I forget. I decided to water the lawn tonight and as soon as I turned the hose on the rain came down for a few minutes and then stopped. Yes, I was not prepared for this because I expected continuous down pours to keep my lawn nice moist. Well right now it is raining a little bit more here on Long Island so I hope it keeps doing so. Last night I went to a networking event and discovered "a new to me" area in NYC. I still have lots of places to visit in NYC and need to hurry up and do it too. Now it's time to go read the newspaper and flop down on the sofa. Maybe I will catch a few minutes of the basketball final.

This is my second attempt at writing this blog. The other time it disappeared. It is hot here in NYC. I am indoors and it cool but later on I will be outside heading to an event so I will definitely be soaking up some of the heat. Yesterday I went to a charity event and it was good. The food was good too. I had homemade sorbet made by a personal chef which tasted great. I like to support charities and I volunteer and donate whenever I can. I actually bidded on a prize and got it too. I am still reading my books and almost finish with one and still working on the other three. I don't have a quote for today and tried to find one from last year but decided to wait for tomorrow.
